The Parcel Tracking system completely documents sensitive areas of the transfer of parcels. Thus it is suitable ideally for the application in parcel distribution centers, where apart from a large automation all parcels finally are individually treated. The system recognizes causes such as maladministration, damage, loss and theft almost completely. It offers the possibility of pursuing each individual parcel from admission over distribution till dispatch. Using a bar code, each parcel is scanned directly at the entrance and shot by a color camera. Scan and graphic data are inseparably connected and thus thereafter the basis for the pursuing of each transfer.
