The COVID-19 epidemic continues to spread. More and more events in various areas are canceled. The developments have now also reached events in the logistics sector: LogiMAT in Stuttgart and SITL in Paris were canceled by the organizers just a few days before the two trade fairs were supposed to open their doors to visitors.<\/p>\n

According to the organizers, there will be no alternative date for LogiMAT this year, SITL will now be hosted from June 23-26, 2020, according to the trade fair organizer Reed Expositions France.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tLogiMAT 2020 canceled – no alternative date announced\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

In the case of LogiMAT, the urgent recommendation of the health department of the Esslingen district and subsequent order of cancellation of the event on March 4th by the regulatory office in Leinfelden-Echterdingen were decisive. After the risk for exhibitors and visitors was initially assessed differently by the authorities, it is now assumed that there is an increased risk present.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is bitter, given the overwhelming importance of LogiMAT Stuttgart for the global intralogistics industry. The cancellation of LogiMAT 2020 for external, unforeseeable circumstances is unprecedented in the event\u2019s 18-year history. Despite tremendous efforts working with Messe Stuttgart, we were unable to find a later date to host the event in 2020, so it is with great regret that we have decided to cancel LogiMAT 2020,\u201d announced Christoph Huss, Managing Partner of EUROEXPO, explaining the cancellation*<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So there will be no alternative date for LogiMAT 2020<\/strong> this year. As an alternative to visiting the trade fair<\/strong>, we would be happy to present our products to you in-house<\/strong>. Please do not hesitate to contact our sales colleagues<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The next LogiMAT is scheduled in Stuttgart from March 9 to 11, 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t

\n\t\tSITL 2020 rescheduled\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

SITL’s cancellation on March 3 followed the decision from February 29 in connection with the COVID-19 epidemic by the French government not to allow events with more than 5,000 participants for the time being.<\/p>\n

As the trade fair organizer Reed Expositions France announced, the SITL 2020 is intended to be rescheduled. This replacement date has meanwhile been set from June 23-26, 2020.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t
