Each guideline contains a fixed selection of user rights and restrictions. With the help of the role, these bundled rights configurations can be applied to an entire user group. Each user group in the system (e.g. administrator, gatekeeper) can have its own role with its own user rights.<\/p>\n<p>New users only need to be assigned to the appropriate group for the assignment of rights. Changes to user rights can be made for all users in a group via their role.<\/p>\n<p>The user rights in a role refer primarily to the possible views and additional functions that this group is allowed to use, but also to possible rights restrictions for investigations, export or administration.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\tHow to create a new role in CargoVIS or ParcelVIS\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>Click on <em>&#8220;Edit&#8221;<\/em> in the menu bar and then select the item <em>&#8220;User administration&#8221;<\/em>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.divis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/benutzerverwaltung_EN.jpg\" alt=\"Create roles in the user administration in CargoVIS &amp; ParcelVIS\" title=\"benutzerverwaltung_EN\" itemprop=\"image\"  \/>\n\t<p>Click on <em>&#8220;Add role&#8221;<\/em> in the dialogue window.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.divis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/neue-richtlinie_EN-2.jpg\" alt=\"neue-richtlinie_EN\" title=\"neue-richtlinie_EN\" itemprop=\"image\"  \/>\n\t<p>Now the new role can be created with the following information:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Assign role name<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Apply preset<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.divis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/richtlinienangaben-EN.jpg\" alt=\"richtlinienangaben-EN\" title=\"richtlinienangaben-EN\" itemprop=\"image\"  \/>\n\t<p><strong>Presets<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Presets are pre-configured sets of rights for different user roles or areas in the software.<\/p>\n<p>All necessary rights are already set here, nothing more needs to be configured when using a preset. However, it is also possible to customise the presets by going through the configuration dialogue and making your own settings.<\/p>\n<p>The following presets are available: Administrator role, User management role, Configurator role, Live and review role, Review role, Restricted review role, Live view role.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.divis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/vorlagen_EN-1.jpg\" alt=\"vorlagen_EN\" title=\"vorlagen_EN\" itemprop=\"image\"  \/>\n\t<p>A click on <em>&#8220;Ok&#8221;<\/em> creates the role and the desired options can now be specified via checkboxes.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\tSettings in the dialogue window of a new role\n\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.divis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/richtlinie_login_EN-1.jpg\" alt=\"richtlinie_login_EN\" title=\"richtlinie_login_EN\" itemprop=\"image\"  \/>\n\t<h4>&#8220;Link to Active Directory Group&#8221;<\/h4>\nWith this function, the DIVIS user database of the CargoVIS and ParcelVIS software can be linked to your Active Directory in terms of users, roles and camera access lists. This way, this particular role can be linked to a particular group. No users need to be created in the DIVIS user database for members of these groups. This saves time. Accelerated access and other benefits of Active Directory connectivity in CargoVIS and ParcelVIS<\/a>\n\t<ul>\n\t\t<li>\t\t\t\t\n\t\t<a href=\"#login\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"Go to #login\" rel=\"noopener\">Login<\/a><\/li><li>\t\t\t\t\n\t\t<a href=\"#general\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"Go to #general\" rel=\"noopener\">General<\/a><\/li><li>\t\t\t\t\n\t\t<a href=\"#administration\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"Go to #administration\" rel=\"noopener\">Administration<\/a><\/li><li>\t\t\t\t\n\t\t<a href=\"#images\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"Go to #images\" rel=\"noopener\">Images<\/a><\/li><li>\t\t\t\t\n\t\t<a href=\"#review\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"Go to #review\" rel=\"noopener\">Review<\/a><\/li><li>\t\t\t\t\n\t\t<a href=\"#pixelation\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"Go to #pixelation\" rel=\"noopener\">Privacy<\/a><\/li><li>\t\t\t\t\n\t\t<a href=\"#camera\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"Go to #camera\" rel=\"noopener\">Camera access lists<\/a><\/li>\t<\/ul>\n\t<p>Restrictions \/ Rights (only in CargoVIS)<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Can login alone<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Authorises users to log in independently. If the right is not set, you need a second user (e.g. from the works council) who can use the same configuration but with the role setting <em>&#8220;Can approve login of other users&#8221;<\/em> (see next item).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Can approve login of other users<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>If this right is set, the user can <em>&#8220;verify&#8221;<\/em> other users. This is necessary if a user does not have the <em>&#8220;Can login alone&#8221;<\/em> right (see above).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Require re-login after X minutes<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>If this restriction is selected, the user must log in again after the time specified in minutes has elapsed. This is often used in combination with the non-independent login to prevent the activation from being valid indefinitely.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Logout if idle for X minutes<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>If this restriction is activated, an idle user will be logged out automatically after the time specified in minutes has elapsed. This right is particularly useful for (operationally) publicly accessible PCs such as terminal PCs, so that other (unauthorised) persons cannot use the software in the event of a forgotten logout and work is not inadvertently continued under a false user name.<\/p>\n\t<p>General rights to views \/ additional functions<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>View live images<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Authorises to see\/use the live view.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Use custom live view layouts<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>User-defined live views can be used (but not managed).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Manage custom live view layouts<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>User-defined live views can be managed (added, deleted, edited).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>View stored images<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Authorisation to perform a search. (usually only disabled for gatekeepers).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>View reference images<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Comparison images\/reference images can be viewed. If the user should also be authorised to change comparison pictures \/ reference pictures, then the item <em>&#8220;Modify reference images&#8221;<\/em> must be activated.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>View alarms <strong>(only in CargoVIS)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Authorisation to view alarms.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Modify alarms <strong>(only in CargoVIS)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Alarms can be edited.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Administrate alarms <strong>(only in CargoVIS)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Alarms can be managed.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Access control <strong>(only in CargoVIS)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Allows access to access control systems, e.g. doors, where people have to log in with a transponder, chip card, etc.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Add\/View Live Markers<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Authorisation to create and view live markers.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Delete live markers<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>With this authorisation, live markers can also be deleted.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Open barriers manually <strong>(only in CargoVIS)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Authorisation to control barriers.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>List editing <strong>(only in ParcelVIS)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>If this option is activated, the List View tab is displayed, thus enabling the editing of a list.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Run availability check at startup<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>If this option is selected, an availability check of the recorders and cameras is automatically carried out when CargoVIS \/ ParcelVIS is started and the result is displayed.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Enable Scale<sup>+<\/sup> <strong>(only in CargoVIS)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>The right to activate Scale<sup>+<\/sup> (the use still requires further settings \/ rights).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Set alternative FTP access <strong>(only in CargoVIS)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>This option can only be used if <em>&#8220;Enable Scale<sup>+<\/sup>&#8220;<\/em> and <em>&#8220;Enable UnitVIS upload of Scale<sup>+<\/sup> results&#8221;<\/em> are selected and should only be activated if the access data does not correspond to the default login data.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Enable export of Scale<sup>+<\/sup>results <strong>(only in CargoVIS)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>User can export <a href=\"https:\/\/www.divis.eu\/en\/video-surveillance-in-hall-turnover-with-solutions-from-divis\/#scaleplus\">Scale<sup>+<\/sup><\/a> results.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Scan statistics <strong>(only in ParcelVIS)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>User can view scan statistics.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Map configuration<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>The right to configure <a href=\"https:\/\/www.divis.eu\/en\/cargovis-video-management-software-transshipment-warehouses\">CargoVIS<\/a> \/ <a href=\"https:\/\/www.divis.eu\/en\/parcelvis-image-based-parcel-tracking-cep\/\">ParcelVIS<\/a> or to edit the configuration.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Manage region codes <strong>(only in CargoVIS)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>With this authorisation, the item <em>&#8220;Manage region codes&#8221;<\/em> can then be selected in the menu under <em>&#8220;Extras&#8221;<\/em>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Edit settings<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>User can adjust the CargoVIS settings.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>User management<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>User can access the user administration and edit users, roles and configurations.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>View software log<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Authorises to view the software log files.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>View admin log<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Allows you to view the admin log.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>View other logbooks<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Logs of other users on the same PC \/ with the same log storage location can be viewed.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Manage licence plates<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>If this right is activated, the menu items <em>&#8220;Manage licence plate rules&#8221;<\/em> and <em>&#8220;Manage licence plate actions&#8221;<\/em> under <em>&#8220;Extras&#8221;<\/em> in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.divis.eu\/en\/modules-video-management-software-logistics\/#licenseplateplus\">License Plate<sup>+<\/sup><\/a> can be used.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>View license plates <\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>This right activates the respective user&#8217;s access to License Plate<sup>+<\/sup> (appears as a tab).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Manage camera access lists<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>With this permission, the menu item <em>&#8220;Manage camera access lists&#8221;<\/em> under <em>&#8220;Edit&#8221;<\/em> can be used.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Export single images<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Single images can be exported \/ saved from the software.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Print images<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Permission to print images.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Mail images<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Images can be sent by e-mail (depending on the e-mail settings of the CargoVIS\/ParcelVIS user, an e-mail with the image as attachment is created).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Create letters<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Authorisation to create letters with the picture as content (result is a Word document).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Export sequences<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Authorisation to export a search sequence as a video (own video format (.ptd \/ .ptd2)).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Export sequences to AVI<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Authorisation to export a search sequence as a video in AVI format (the meta information is lost in the process).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Restricted review <strong>(only in CargoVIS)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>If this restriction is activated, searches can only be carried out within a specified period of seconds from the point of scanning (often requested by works councils). Navigation can then be allowed or special time rules can be set for inbound or outbound scans.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Use review calendar <strong>(only in CargoVIS)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>If this restriction is activated, a review calendar must be stored that specifies which periods may be searched and for which periods no image data is displayed. Applicable, for example, in the case of hall subletting in certain periods, so that different contractors cannot view each other&#8217;s images. Weekdays and times of day can be set in the calendar.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Limit review history <strong>(only in CargoVIS)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>Restricts in days how far back in time images can be viewed during the search.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Restrictions on investigations <strong>(only in ParcelVIS)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>&#8220;ParcelVIS light&#8221;: Restricts the functionality to the ParcelVIS light functions (investigation can only be initiated via a scan image).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Mask privacy zones<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>If this restriction is selected, privacy zones are automatically masked.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Enable pixelation<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>If this restriction is active, all movements (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.divis.eu\/en\/modules-logistics-video-surveillance\/#motionplus\">Motion<sup>+<\/sup><\/a>) are automatically pixelated (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.divis.eu\/en\/modules-video-management-software-logistics\/#pixelplus\">Pixel<sup>+<\/sup><\/a>). The <em>&#8220;duration of pixelation in y seconds&#8221;<\/em> can be set, which means that the movement from the first image with corresponding pixelation is also pixelated in the subsequent images for the set period.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5>Inhibit pixelation with password<\/h5>\n\t\t\t<p>If this option is activated, a password is set which can be used later to cancel the pixelation.<\/p>\n\t<p>This permission allows camera access lists to be created and assigned to all or individual users or added for Active Directory groups. The created camera access lists can always be activated\/deactivated for the currently selected role.
