TAPA requirements create uniform, consistent security standards. Adhering to these standards can reduce theft and burglary. End-to-end compliance with TAPA guidelines provides enhanced protection for high-value goods, supports smooth on-time delivery and prevents losses. <\/strong><\/p>\n\t

Compliance with TAPA standards strengthens the satisfaction and trust of customers, insurance companies and partners.<\/p>\n\t

In the objective to make logistics safer and more efficient, the goals of DIVIS<\/a> and the focus of TAPA-EMEA (= Transported Asset Protection Association EMEA) find common ground.<\/p>\n

The fact that customers prefer to entrust their goods to secure hands when placing orders makes security standards not only cost-relevant but also, and above all, a substantial competitive factor in the logistics industry. Warehouse and cargo theft is known to be a persistent problem in logistics, along with loss and damage, causing millions of dollars in damage month after month<\/a>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t

What is TAPA-EMEA<\/h3>\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\"member_tapa_emea\"\n\t\t\t\t

TAPA was founded in the USA in 1997, mainly by representatives of the high-tech goods industry, with the aim of creating standards for increased security against crime along the supply chain. In the following years, TAPA established security standards for the supply chain with the help of experts with practical experience. This includes building security requirements (FSR), security standards for transport units such as trucks (TSR) and vehicle parking security standards (PSR).
The organisation regularly updates its globally recognised minimum standards for freight forwarders handling high-value goods. But the security resulting from a TAPA-compliant transport process is not exclusively useful for high-value and theft-prone goods, as today almost any type of freight is at risk of theft, loss or damage, especially on long, fragmented transport routes.<\/p>\n\t
