\n\t\tDIVIS supports\n\t<\/h1>\n

\n\t\tFuture for Lola’s Children e.V.\n\t<\/h1>\nAssociation for the support of children in Zimbabwe
\n\n\t\t\t\t\"lolas-kinder-titel-en\"\n\tThe community of Bordesholm is what connects our company headquarters and the “Future for Lola’s Children” association. The non-profit organisation was founded here by committed citizens.
\nTogether with the sisters of the Spanish order “Missionary Daughters of Calvary”, the association makes an essential contribution to improving the living conditions of children and people in need in Zimbabwe.\n

The organisation is supported by almost 20 members as well as a circle of donors and friends. Without the financial support of these groups, the work in Zimbabwe would not be possible in its current form.<\/p>\n

We are firmly convinced that this commitment is of great benefit to the development of orphans in Zimbabwe which is why we want to make more people aware of the important work of this small organisation.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\t

The projects of the association<\/p>\n\t\t\t

School fees project<\/h3>\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

The organisation currently supports around 300 children (orphans and half-orphans) in financing their school fees. These children live all over the Victoria Falls-Tshongogkwe-Binga region, where the nuns are activly engaged in the aid projects.<\/p>\n

Education is the key to giving these children a perspective for a secure future. After all, education is the lever for a way out of unemployment, hunger and a life on the streets.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Lola's\n\t\t\t

Food parcels for families<\/h3>\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Thanks to donations, the distribution of food parcels is organised the nuns. For example, in 2022 a thousand families received a food parcel. Each package contains 40kg of “mealie meal” maize flour which, together with vegetables from the garden, provides essential meals for the households. During the winter, food is particularly scarce due to the rainy season, supplies are running low and the new harvest is not yet ready.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Lola's\n\t\t\t

Orphanage project in Binga<\/h3>\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

The orphanage “SUNRISE CHILDREN’S HOME” in Binga opened in 2013 and is the heart of the association’s work. More than a dozen children and three sisters live there. Temporarily, children and women in acute need are also accommodated.<\/p>\n

The gardener Josphat cultivates the vegetable garden together with the children. Unfortunately, elephants and monkeys recently invaded the fenced garden and destroyed a large part of the harvest. Now they will have to plant again and wait for the next harvest.<\/p>\n

A solar system financed by the association is meant to compensate for the constant power outages and to provide an alternative to cooking on an open fire every day.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"waisenhausprojekt-lolas-kinder\"\n\t\t\t

Chicken project<\/h3>\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Around 100 chickens are kept in the chicken project, which provide the residents with eggs.
The chicken house also fulfils a social function for the children. They are involved in caring for the animals and help with collecting eggs and cleaning out the henhouse every week.<\/p>\n

A large chicken enclosure built on the property in 2016 is home to so-called “indigenous chickens”. They are mainly used for meat production for self-sufficiency and as a source of income through sales.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Lola's\n\t\t\t

Glasses project<\/h3>\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

An eye glass workshop was set up in a donated overseas container to sell simple but customised eye wear or give it away to those in need.
The state licence to operate the workshop was five years in the making.
It has now been granted. As a result, work for people with visual impairments has finally begun, making it easier for some to access education and learn to read and write!<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Lola's\n\t\t\t
