Review: DIVIS at the transport logistic 2019, tip of the month and employee presentation

Bordesholm, June 28, 2019

Hendrik Reger | DIVIS | Videolösungen für die Logistik

We look back with satisfaction at a very successful trade fair presence with numerous new national and international contacts at transport logistic in Munich. The event was very well attended and our products were again met with much interest. Read more about our trade fair experience here in this newsletter.

In the tip of the month, you'll find the second part of our tips for the export of video sequences for purposes of preserving evidence or archiving. Today we will explain the editing of the detail views.

Last but not least, we would like to introduce to you an interesting colleague from our team, our oldest active employee and right-hand man in warehouse management: Helmut Kroll.

We hope you enjoy reading.

On behalf of the DIVIS team

Yours, Hendrik Reger

Positive feedback and international contacts for DIVIS at transport logistic

The leading international trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management, transport logistic, has been held every two years in Germany for over 40 years. Over time it has developed into a meeting point for exhibitors and visitors from 125 countries.

In 2019, the steady growth of the trade fair became clear again: transport logistic recorded an increase of 5% with around 64,000 visitors. Almost half had traveled from abroad. Our trade fair team spoke to visitors from Germany as well as visitors from Luxembourg, Switzerland, Great Britain, Poland, France, the USA and China.

It became obvious that Chinese companies are increasingly looking for cooperation partners, new trade routes, markets and energy sources in Europe as part of the Silk Road Initiative.

10% more exhibitors than in 2017 were distributed in Munich on 125,000 square meters of exhibition space. For this purpose, an additional hall had been made available this year.
The DIVIS stand was also well attended on the exhibition days and our exhibition team was busy with discussions and live demonstrations.

In addition to the topic of the shortage of skilled workers, digitalization, sustainability in the supply chain and artificial intelligence in transport logistics also defined the event.

In this regard we were optimally positioned with our software products.

One of our latest modules, License Plate+ for automatic license plate recognition, was very well received and generated a lot of demand.

Another module, Scale+, is currently developing into a fast-seller. All customers who have become familiar with the module want to take advantage of the software-based volume detection. No wonder, after all, the module does not interfere with the loading process and the measurement can be carried out even after a consignment has already left the warehouse.

On three evenings, the stand, which we shared with our longtime partner, TIS GmbH, customers, visitors, exhibitors and our teams met to end the day together with live music and a drink and to continue one or the other conversation of the day.

The fair was a great success for DIVIS. Accordingly, Hendrik Reger, head of DIVIS sales, summarizes:

“Once again this year our products were in great demand at the trade fair. As soon as interested parties get the chance to take a closer look at our software in action on live events, many immediately realize the benefits.
In addition to a number of existing customers and a major order from Germany, numerous new customers were enthusiastic about our solutions. Our sales colleagues are looking forward to processing the agreed appointments in the coming weeks and deepening the contacts they have made. We are already looking forward to the next transport logistic 2021."

Mark the date today already: We will see you next time at transport logistic between May 4-7, 2021.

DIVIS TIP OF THE MONTH

Export of video sequences in CargoVIS & ParcelVIS Part 2: The detail view

In the last tip of the month, we have explained how to export search results in our video management software. Today we deepen the topic and show you how to edit individual video sequences in the detail view.

DIVIS BEHIND THE SCENES

Our right-hand man in the DIVIS storage management: Helmut Kroll

Helmut Kroll | DIVIS

As if his age were not already fascinating enough, Helmut Kroll can look back on an impressive 14-year career path in the DIVIS family business. The father of the founder, Thomas Kroll, represents one of several generations in the team.

After 41 years as a baker in the bread factory Bordesholm and a few more years in well-deserved retirement the senior joined DIVIS in 2005. Here Helmut takes precise care of the completeness and order of our storage. He ensures that there is always sufficient material available for the work of the installers and, if necessary, supports his colleague, Christian Messner, in the work preparation.

See you next time!
