Green Logistics with video management from DIVIS, LogiMAT review and Business Talk

Bordesholm, 6 June 2022

Hendrik Reger | DIVIS | Videolösungen für die Logistik

"Green Logistics" has developed into a solid strategy for service providers wanting to make an active contribution to environmental protection. In the process, many companies have discovered another advantage: Sustainable measures reduce operating costs. In our article today, you will learn how our video management solutions also promote sustainability on the one hand and lead to cost savings in your company on the other.

After the LogiMAT trade fair could not be hosted as a live event in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, the industry was delighted to be able to meet again this year in person for networking and an active exchange. We also attended again and presented the DIVIS products to the trade fair audience on site in various live presentations. In this issue, we look back at the highlights of this year's LogiMAT.

You can discover many exciting tidbits on the business developments at DIVIS in our new column DIVIS Business Talk. Our growth in Germany and Europe continues. We entered into a new, very high-profile partnership and received a coveted certification.

GREEN LOGISTICS WITH DIVIS VIDEO SOLUTIONS

One system, double benefit: more environmentally friendly processes as well as reduced operating costs

Green Logistics with DIVIS Video Solutions

Sustainability has long been a determining factor in many industries, also in logistics. Due to the steadily growing globalisation, companies increasingly feel responsible to act not only economically, but also ecologically. Thus, the typical business goals, such as reducing operating costs and increasing profits, are no longer the only driving aspects.
A company policy geared towards green logistics also aims to protect the environment as much as possible at the same time. But the particularly convincing aspect about sustainability is that the objective often also has attractive effects for the companies themselves, because "green" measures can make a noticeable contribution to reducing operating costs.

Thanks to powerful software solutions, including the video management solutions from DIVIS, high volumes of goods can now be reliably channelled through the supply chain in the shortest possible time. At the same time, the software-supported optimisations are an important building block for more climate-friendly logistics processes.

In this article, we show you how our CargoVIS video management system for palletised shipments can contribute to sustainability in your company.

"Green" measures can not only protect the environment, but also the budget.

EVENTS

Review: This was LogiMAT 2022 in Stuttgart

After a forced pandemic break of around 40 months, the LogiMAT halls opened their doors once again to visitors on 31 May 2022 at the Messepiazza in Stuttgart. The Interest in the International Trade Fair for Intralogistics Solutions and Process Management was pleasantly high. With over 1,550 exhibitors from 39 countries and 50,000 visitors, the figures were still somewhat below the pre-Corona level. Nevertheless, the influx clearly confirmed the importance of the live event for the industry.

The overall mood was very optimistic and our team also enjoyed the opportunity to exchange ideas with the trade audience at our stand finally in person again.

Logistics has arrived in the digitalisation era

The topics and questions on site clearly showed that the industry has recognised the value of smart digital solutions for process optimisation, especially if companies want to reduce their operating costs and remain competitive.

Both among parcel service providers and in the general cargo logistics sector, systems such as the video management solutions from DIVIS are therefore in high demand.

Many parcel service providers were particularly interested in the 360° camera concept from DIVIS, which provides a complete overview with a carefully and cost-efficiently planned camera selection.
Visitors gladly took the opportunity to experience the DIVIS software in our live presentations. For example, they were able to familiarise themselves with the functionality and operation of our Location+ software module for scanner location with modern tagless Bluetooth® Low Energy technology.

When planning and implementing additional features for our solutions, we take our customers' wishes into account. The resulting current enhancements obviously also struck a chord with the LogiMAT audience.
Picture+ for image provision on scanners and any end devices, a joint development in cooperation with our partner TIS GmbH, was another much-noticed tool from our portfolio.
The extended functionality of License Plate+ for automatic barrier control and licence plate recognition was also met with increased interest from our prospective and existing customers.

„The live demonstration of Location+ offered real added value for visitors to our stand,“ reports CSO Justus Klüver-Schlotfeldt, adding:
„It was great to see that many existing customers as well as high profile prospects from several European countries found their way to our stand. We are looking forward to exciting projects and I am sure that we were once again able to further strengthen our position as market leader at this year's LogiMAT.“

As the host, we were particularly pleased with the diversity of visitors who had travelled from all over Germany and Europe (for example, the Czech Republic, France, Belgium, etc.) to attend the event and pay our stand a visit.

In addition to completely new contacts, satisfied existing customers also visited us to talk about further joint projects and to learn more about the new products at DIVIS.

We would like to thank all visitors for the valuable exchange.
We are grateful to our colleagues at TIS GmbH for the very good cooperation before and during the trade fair.

The next LogiMAT will take place on 25 - 27 April 2023. We will be represented again and look forward to seeing you then!
